About Greg Starzyk
Gregory F. Starzyk is currently the Chief Operations Officer of Kerogen Systems, Inc., where his area of expertise is program management, which he envisions as a collaborative strategy to mitigate risks and produce better outcomes.
Starzyk is also Professor Emeritus of Construction Management at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where his academic interest is the interdisciplinary domain of project management, design management, program management and law. Starzyk is the author of numerous, peer-reviewed academic papers and two textbooks that have been adopted by various universities nationwide.
Beginning as a union-sponsored apprentice carpenter and becoming a Chicago-area general contractor, Starzyk later gained 23 years of experience in engineering, construction project management, modular systems business management, and global planning with Honeywell-UOP.
Starzyk holds a Juris Doctorate from Taft University, Sant Ana, CA; a Master of Project Management from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL; and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Certified Professional Constructor and a DBIA Associate.
